Gentlemen

The British Soldiers were gentlemen so they had to act and fight like gentlemen. That is why they all lined up in rows and shot. The Minute Men, or Militia, on the other hand, had different ideas. They snuck up on the Brithsh Soldiers and shot.

On the retreat back from Concord, General Gage took over the Munroe Tavern. He used it as a hospital for his wounded soldiers.

Anna Munroe took her children up on a hill behind her house to keep them safe. Mr. Munroe wasn't home because he was guarding Mr. Clark and Mr Hancock at the Hancock Clark House.
