All School Meeting - March 10, 2000
Lexington High School Percussion Ensemble

Index of other All School Meeting pages

On Friday, March 10th, Hastings students gathered for a special assembly by the Lexington High School Percussion Ensemble. Hastings students were intrigued by the wide variety of percussion instruments played during this performance.

A group of teachers gave the bull-roarer a try. This is an instrument from coastal Ghana.

Now the students give the African bull-roarer a whirl. It sounds like roaring wind or bees.

Who would know that kitchen items could sound so great!

Here is an LHS student playing the temple blocks, an instrument that students at Hastings play too.
