Hastings Fourth Graders Study Ancient Greece

Fourth graders in Lexington study ancient civilizations in social studies. This year, we have studied Mesopotamia, Ancient Egypt, and Ancient China. Currently, we are focusing on Ancient Greece.

The fourth grade teachers are working as a team. Each of the teachers has planned a one week unit on an aspect of Ancient Greek culture. We mixed up the three fourth grade classes so that the students as well as the teachers would have a chance to work with new people. Each group is spending one week on each of the three topics below.
