Dear EA Sports,

In fourth grade I have been studying Negro League Baseball Players during history. I've learned how Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier by working hard to get into the White Major Leagues. Also I've learned all about Satchel Paige and Josh Gibson and how they each proved that white players are not necessarily better athletes than black ones. Many Negro League Players changed history and baseball forever. This is why I wonder, why are there practically no Negro League Players in your company's video games?

My friends and I think that Negro League Players should be recognized more in your video games. I think they should be recognized because they did a lot for our country. For example, Rube Foster, who established Negro League Baseball, allowed black athletes to play the game they loved. Another important person to black history was John Henry Lloyd, who was the best baseball player of all time and proved that white players weren't always better athletes than black players. These Negro League Players have done a lot to help make America's baseball leagues better today.

Another reason why I think you should add Negro League Baseball Players to your video games is because little kids will think that it is very interesting. I know that I was interested to learn how Cool Papa Bell was the fastest base runner in baseball history. And did you know that Josh Gibson was the greatest hitter of all time? I'm sure that small children would like to learn more about Negro League Players. They'd probably get hooked on your new game and might even want to buy more games.

When I started learning about the Negro Leagues I was very excited about studying about baseball. I was very surprised and sad at the same time that blacks weren't allowed to play in the Major Leagues and it made me even more sad when I noticed that there were NO Negro League players in my baseball games. I encourage you to add more Negro Leaguers in your games.

Thank you!

Sincerely,
Alex
