| As you will notice, the Story Gardens Mural is really starting to take shape. This week, grades 2 - 5 got their chance to add their artistic impressions to the mural. | |

Teachers and parent volunteers have been amazed by the students' abilities to choose and mix effective colors. |
| Incorporated into the mural is a bench that spans the length of the library/lobby wall. It will represent a river, full of whimsical critters. |  |

On Wednesday, the Boston Globe and Lexington Minuteman newspapers stopped by to take pictures! |
| When asked, "What do you think is the best part of the Story Gardens Mural Project?"... |  |

"I like the way the library doors are going to open up like a book." |
| "I like the different colors of all the people." |  |
 |
"I can't wait to paint again. Maybe I'll paint over at the library doors next time." |
| Perhaps the most insightful comment of the day was from this young man who said, "The best part is that everyone's coming together to paint this mural." |  |
