Architecture, Design & Enrichment 2003 - 2004

Thanks to support from LEF and Hastings families,
Box City is taking place at our school & we need your help. 
Get involved & help our children begin an exciting exploration of architecture & design.

Art Room Volunteers  9/22 - 10/22
Before children design their buildings, they will paint landscape bases and make trees in art.  No experience needed -- wear paint-forgiving clothing!  Help wanted in all classes!
Classroom Volunteers: Citizen-Making 
10/7 - 10/17
Parents are needed to help students create figures to be the citizens of Box City. 2-4 parents per room to help teachers facilitate the learning process. (Times & days vary by class.)
Classroom Volunteers: Building Sessions
10/7 - 10/22
Students will design and build structures in their classrooms.  2-4 parents per room to help teachers facilitate the learning process.  (Times & days vary by class.)
Set-up Day in the Gym
10/20, 9:00 – 10:30
4 Volunteer parents will assist 5th graders with layout of roads, green spaces, river, etc.
Box City BIG EVENT & Walking Tours
10/22, 4:30-8:30 
Student structures will all come together as one city in the gym.  We need volunteers to help at this special community celebration.
Documentation of our City
10/7 - 10/22
We need a team of parent volunteers to record this wonderful event as it evolves!
