Big Backyard Kit

Looking for books or field guides for a walk?  Did something you learned on a BBY walk or at a training pique your interest?   The Hastings library has collection of relevant field guides know as the “BBY kit”.  To search for items in the BBY kit, follow these directions:

  1. In Enhanced Search, Search ANYWHERE (not SUBJECT) (Anywhere is above Author) for Big Backyard Kit

 

Working with our librarian, Margarite Bradley, we are also in the process of compiling a list of BBY-relevant read-aloud books for teachers and volunteers---organized by grade and topic.  Check with Margarite (and your classroom teacher) if you would like to read a story to your class.
