Lexington's Bell-Atlantic EdLink project created technology-infused classrooms where technology is an integral part of at least one curriculum unit. In each of Lexington's six elementary schools, one first and one fifth grade classroom was set up with five networked computers to ensure adequate student access. During the summer and six times throughout the school year, the "EdLink" teachers met to investigate and research technology resources, such as software and web sites, that would be essential to the implementation of one interdisciplinary language arts/social studies unit.
