Contacting a Staff Member

Have you ever needed to contact one of your child's teachers, but didn't know the best way to reach her? Below, Hastings staff members have listed the best ways they'd want to be contacted by parents. Usually, teachers prefer not to engage in a conversation with parents at 8:30am (as the children are entering the classroom) or at the end of the school day (when children are preparing to depart). These are times when teachers need to devote all of their attention to the children.

In the spirit of fostering positive communication between parents and teachers, below we have listed each staff member's preferred means of interaction. Please note that email messages may not be read or responded to on a daily basis, so please do not send messages of an urgent nature through email*. Please also remember that email is not always the best medium for long and involved discussions of a student's progress. Some discussions are just more effective in person!

* NOTE: Staff email addresses are the concatenation of their first initial and last name @sch.ci.lexington.ma.us. For example, John Smith would be jsmith@sch.ci.lexington.ma.us. The emails for a few exceptions are listed.
